In this video, Myself and my classmate had to bring in three objects that mean something to us and would like to start choreographing with. Example, In my other post I have a basketball, a baby picture of my father holding me at my 1st birthday, and a stuffed animal. Then we had to make a motif including this three objects and put them all together. In this motif I wanted to show strength in my movements for example when in the beginning I start to raise my hands and bring them down beside my body in a slow motion. I wanted to elongate that part to start showing this motif is a strength/ growing process. A lot of my movements are very tense within my arms and a lot of me standing up instead of on the floor. First My teacher told me to change my dance around but standing up because I'm always on the floor when I come up with solos. So standing up was a big jump than what I'm "use" to. In this motif I also wanted to make it clear that my father wasn't always there for me like he should've been and he didn't support me through dance but before I started dancing I also did basketball and he attended all my games. I made my moves very firm but then loosing up after stretching my arms to show the gaps between him wanted to be there and choosing to not be there when I changed my dream.

9/11 Modify
This film shows the struggle of young daughters that have lost their fathers and mothers in the 9/11 tragedy. I showed through some of my slow movements the gap between growing up without their parents and wondering if they would ever meet them.

Junior Choreography Description
Junior Choreography was testing your ability and putting your own technique in shape of
making your own person solo. We had numerous classes to help build up our clear view on what to choreograph and what kind of different dance terms to put in our solo, for example: - "AB" which means a two part compositional form with a start and an ending theme. With my junior solo I wanted more of an piece that truly shows myself and who I am and move like as a dancer. While in the process of making this I created many motifs and based my theme of my feeling at that moment. This process was a wreck in the brain to me and usually when you randomly dance and your alone, you come up with so many movements and ideas that I didn't know how to put all my thoughts / ideas together.
